Passive housing project Ecocity Malešice from JRD won the award for environmental and energy benefits

JRD development company has won this month the second prize. First, the low energy Augustus became the villa project real estate since 2011 and now has received the Jury Prize Ecocity Malešice II. 2010 in the Czech competition between energy and environmental design, construction and innovation in the category B1-PROJECTS - Projects for low energy and passive houses.
The price was JRD, Ltd. awarded for a comprehensive approach to the application of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and materials in the construction of urban housing, which, upon reaching a very low energy consumption remain functionally and architecturally interesting.
The competition was announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Environment and Ministry for Regional Development. This year's ninth annual competition was held under the auspices of Prime Minister Petr Necas, Deputy of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy European Parliament Eugene Tosenovsky and other important personalities.
Ecocity Malešice is currently the largest passive housing construction in the CR, implemented by developer JRD, Ltd.. This environmental project is still only in the low-energy and passive housing in the Czech Republic and so far only the third in the European Union.
"Passive houses are in today's society no longer common, but people have not had the opportunity to live in this housing. JRD first and has long been devoted to this issue, but this time we have prepared the largest project in environmental and health overtones, with extremely low power consumption, heat kWh/m2/year 10.8 (note: standard construction is up to 120 kW/m2 / year). Building a passive apartments that are perfectly competitive and the solution itself houses and apartment due to the surrounding countryside is truly unique. The biggest competitive advantage is their health, environmental and economic benefits, "said Ing. Řežáb John, owner of JRD Ltd.
Apartment buildings will be implemented in two phases, starting the first phase of construction is planned for mid 2012, completion and transfer of flats in late 2013.
